Destined, Somehow Diamond Ring
Some things in life feel accidental until you look back and realise they changed everything.
A person entering your life unexpectedly. A path you almost didn’t take. A version of yourself quietly emerging through experiences you never planned for.
Destined, Somehow was designed as a reflection on those unseen forces that shape us — timing, instinct, connection and the strange feeling that certain things were always slowly finding their way toward us.
A flowing curve of solid gold wraps protectively around a 4mm diamond, creating a sculptural form that feels fluid, intimate and quietly magnetic. The gold moves around the stone rather than simply holding it, as though drawn naturally toward the light at its centre.
The spiral suggests convergence: separate moments, choices and lives gradually becoming part of the same story.
Made entirely by hand in solid 9k gold using traditional goldsmithing techniques, each ring is individually formed, soldered, polished and set by hand in my London studio. The flowing curves retain traces of touch and movement, allowing the piece to feel deeply personal rather than mechanically perfect.
Gold becomes a metaphor for connection itself: shaped slowly over time, strengthened through pressure and held together by unseen forces.
Destined, Somehow is a piece about trusting that some things arrive exactly when they are meant to.
