There are versions of our lives that almost happened.

Lives we can still sometimes glimpse from a distance — in memories, old conversations, missed opportunities or choices we nearly made. The city we almost moved to. The person we almost became. The path we almost stayed on.

And yet somehow, through instinct, chance or courage, life curved elsewhere.

Almost Went The Other Way was designed as a reflection on those delicate turning points: the moments that quietly redirect the course of who we are becoming.

Two flowing lines of gold move beside one another like parallel timelines — close, connected, yet forever slightly separated. The sculptural form holds a tension between past and future, certainty and possibility, grief and growth. Neither line dominates the other; both become part of the same evolving story.

At either end sits a diamond.

Not simply as decoration, but as markers in time.

One for the self you once were. One for the self that emerged because life unfolded differently than expected. Between them lives the unseen emotional distance travelled — the resilience, uncertainty, hope and transformation that shape a person over time.

The open form allows the ring to feel soft and fluid against the hand, almost as though it is still in motion. Rather than closing into certainty, the shape remains gently unresolved — echoing the reality that becoming is never fully complete.

Made entirely by hand in solid 9k gold using traditional goldsmithing techniques, each ring is individually formed, soldered, finished and set by hand in my London studio. The curves retain traces of human touch and intention, giving the piece a warmth and intimacy that cannot exist in mass production.

Gold becomes a metaphor for transformation itself: shaped through pressure and heat, yet emerging more luminous through the process.

Almost Went The Other Way is a piece about instinct, fate and the fragile moments that unknowingly reshape our lives forever.

We are an ethical jeweller; all our gold is recycled and we use lab grown and recycled vintage diamonds, all from the highest quality sources here in London to reduce any carbon footprint or issues with slavery or transparency through the supply chain.

We are an artisanal jeweller, using traditional goldsmithing and gemstone setting skills - everything is made with genuine love and passion in-house.
